[Best on Black background!] I'm a big fan of colorful sandstone, and my quick visit at the Valley of Fire didn't disappoint. I hadn't been there before, but this place ("fire wave" area) has some of the reddest, brightest sandstone I've seen. Pretty amazing at sunset! I've had a few interesting reactions to this image. Some imagine this as a Martian landscape, with smoke from a crashed space rover in the background; one described a steam engine climbing a slope in the distance; and one friend said it reminded him of hamburgers (….OK!). Some see a dragon's head in the cloud. Lots of possibilities; at any rate, I hope you enjoy it!
