My trip to Kalbarri a few weeks ago happened after I had this idea. I wanted to photograph Nature's Window, which looks so perfectly over the Murchison River. Sunrise wasn't a possibility but I realised Moonrise could possibly work. Having never been there it was a bit hard to know, but I was keen to get away regardless! Kalbarri National Park is stunning and a little spooky when waiting around for over an hour alone in the dark waiting for the moon to show up, and hopefully show up in the right place for the composition I had to set up earlier when there was still enough light to see. It was cool though, plenty of birds still around and kangaroos down by the river.
