This is a monument of Alexander L. Kielland, Broken link. March 1980 capsized residential platform Alexander L. Kielland on the Ekofisk field in the North Sea. 123 people died in the accident. Kielland accident is the worst disaster in Norwegian oil history. It was a fatigue crack in one of the bars that led to one of the five pillars were torn loose. Platform started imbalance and overturned. 89 people survived the accident.
