http://ift.tt/1a9f2MW Been MIA in Iceland for a while and currently recovering from withdrawal symptoms (aka jetlag). Was in Iceland for only 10 days.. Ran into the worst and best storm they had in a decade. Was stuck in Reykjavík, the world's northernmost capital of a sovereign state, for 2 good days due to the worst snow/rain/hail storm.. Also witnessed the best solar storm in my life. Weather in Iceland was really unpredictable and dynamic, its like Portland on steroids. Greeted with overcast and extremely windy conditions most of the time but whenever it clears, there's always a giant smile on my face. Of the 8 nights that we were looking for aurora borealis, we got lucky on 4 of them. 50% not bad at all! Here's my first share from Jökulsárlón, one of my fav places in Iceland, filled with giant icebergs on a clear sunrise. Jökulsárlón, Iceland.
