So, I went to Gran Canaria for holiday, but I couldnt resist bringing a bit of gear, and sneaking of into the night. The power and brightness of the milkyway this close to equator just blew me away. Lights in the horizon are a few fishingboats. up and away very early. There are quite some colors below the milkyway in the left side of the image, I can't quite make out, where all the green and reds are coming from, but there was a storm picking up red sand from The Sahara, carrying it as far away as northern Europe just a few days earlier, so this could explain it.
