Star trails appear to circle over a frozen Rattlesnake Lake near North Bend, Washington. The star motion was captured over a period of 75 minutes, shot as a continuous series of twenty-five 3-minute exposures. The long 3-minute exposure time allowed the light of the half-moon to illuminate the landscape almost like daylight. I stacked those 25 exposures together in Photoshop to make for continuous star trails. What looks like a "beam" or searchlight is a moving band of clouds reflecting the city light from Seattle, 30 miles to the west.
