In early June in Northern Greenland, the sun doesn't set. But in the midnight hour, the cloudy sky lends a dreamy softness to the harsh and surreal landscape. Icebergs the size of city blocks, calved from a nearby glacier, are trapped by the seasonal freeze and have wintered over in the bay of Qaanaaq. With the onset of the spring thaw, the bay releases these giant ice structures. The near freeze temperature of the water and its salt content gives it a high density which generates near mirror-like reflections. http://ift.tt/1ldvJLZ
