[[Cloudscape and distant 14,000-foot peaks of Kings Canyon National Park, California]] Well, about a month ago, I told everyone that I saw the most amazing thing of my life. I'm finally ready to share it. At this time, I was 30 miles into the backcountry and 5 miles away from the nearest trail, well above the 13000-foot elevation with nobody else around. Lightning was striking occasionally in the distance as the fog built up and swirled around the valleys below me. I've never seen anything like this in the Sierra Nevada, and I will forever treasure this vivid memory. I have to dedicate this image to the incredible Jeff Swanson, who knew about this image and couldn't wait to see it, but melanoma stole his life before I was able to finish and release it. Jeff, I'm so sorry -- I hope you can see this up in the clouds. I can't thank you enough for all you did for me -- even though we only met in person once, you made me laugh almost every single day and you introduced me to so many of my friends and mentors. You rock. FYI: I will soon be officially launching a brand new process for limited edition prints. I just made the first print of this on high-gloss aluminum, a 20x30 artist's proof, and it is absolutely stunning. It will be a limited edition of 50. More details on this process will be released soon, but if you are interested in making an investment, the sooner you act, the better off you will be. If you would like to learn more, please message me. - Jeff http://ift.tt/1irFxdJ
