The American Robin is the harbinger of spring in North America. It is interesting how we often forget to capture the wildlife in our own backyard. While very common, it is difficult to approach and photograph. This is a classic motionless pose while searching for a tasty earthworm, which is a primary protein source to get in shape for nesting.
